Construct adverbs from the following adjectives.

Construct adverbs from the following adjectives and type them in.

  1. El perro ladra (constante)  .If the adjective ends in e or a consonant, we simply add the ending mente.The dog is always barking.
  2. Lo he entendido todo (perfecto)  .We take the feminine form of the adjective and add the ending mente.I understood everything perfectly.
  3. Defendieron su postura (firme y decidido)  .We take the feminine form of the adjective and add the ending mente. If there are multiple adverbs in a row, we only add the ending mente to the last one.They defended their position firmly and decidedly.
  4. El gato se asomó (tímido)   por la puerta.We take the feminine form of the adjective and add the ending mente. If the adjective has an accent, this remains unchanged in the adverb.The cat timidly slipped out through the door.
  5. Aquí (normal)   hace mucho frío.If the adjective ends in e or a consonant, we simply add the ending mente.It’s normally very cold here.

Replace the adverb with another word, so that the meaning of the sentence remains the same.

  1. Ella se mueve elegantemente.
