Regular verbs. Type in the verbs in the pretérito indefinido.

  1. Ayer Marta y Luis (perder)  el autobús.[Yesterday, Marta and Luis missed the bus.]|er-verb, 3rd person plural ending: ieron

Irregular verbs. Type in the verbs in the pretérito indefinido.

  1. Mis padres (tener)  que abandonar sus estudios.[My parents had to break off their studies.]|irregular verb, 3rd person plural
  2. (andar/yo)  dos kilómetros para encontrar una fuente.[I walked two kilometres to find a well/spring.]|irregular verb, 1st person singular
  3. Lo que (hacer/vosotros)  es imperdonable.[What you have done is unforgivable.]|irregular verb, 2nd person plural
  4. Tú no (traer)  nada a la fiesta.[You didn’t bring anything to the party.]|irregular verb, 2nd person singular
  5. Nunca (saber/nosotros)  la verdad.[We never found out the truth.]|irregular verb, 1st person plural

All verbs. Type in the verbs in the pretérito indefinido.

  1. La película (comenzar)  con media hora de retraso.[The film began half an hour late.]|regular ar-verb, 3rd person singular → -ó
  2. La semana pasada (colgar/yo)  unas fotos en la red.[Last week I put a few photos on the internet.]|To preserve the pronunciation of g, we have to add a u before the ending in the 1st person singular.
  3. (pedir/ella)  un montón de regalos para su cumpleaños.[She wanted lots of gifts for her birthday.]|irregular verb, 3rd person singular (change of root vowel)
  4. Anoche los niños se (dormir)  en seguida.[Last night the children fell asleep right away.]|3rd person plural (change of root vowel)
  5. El año pasado todos los alumnos (aprobar)  los exámenes finales.[Last year, all the pupils passed their final exams.]|regular ar-verb, 3rd person plural → aron
