A tour through the city
I live in a very small town located on one of the most popular hiking trails in the region. In summer, tourists come from all over the country. They are often very tired because they walk for many kilometres with their rucksacks on their backs. Luckily, the city offers a campsite and several hotels where they can spend the night.
As our little town is so charming, many hikers extend their stay and stay here for a few days rest on their way. They are fascinated by everything they find and they never stop taking photos with their cameras.
My uncle is a tour guide and accompanies the visitors around the village. The excursions start in the square, opposite the tourist information centre where you can buy city maps and postcards. My uncle usually visits the medieval old town to explore the most important monuments and statues before arriving at the castle. With some binoculars, you can see the ruins of an ancient Roman fortress from the square. To get there you just have to follow the directions on the signs that line the path.
