“It’s snowed!” Juan shouted as he looked out of the window that morning. During the winter holidays he went to the mountains with his friends Sofía, Carlos and Félix. However, until now there hadn’t been enough snow to do winter sports. But now everything was white with 50 centimetres of pure snow! It must have snowed all night!
Juan woke his friends quickly. They also couldn't believe their eyes. “Finally!” they cried, and although they were still half asleep, they didn’t hesitate to get out of their warm beds. They wanted to go to the snow as soon as possible. Even the cold didn’t bother them, because there was so much to do. First, the friends built a snowman. Then they had a snowball fight. They went down the mountain on their sleds and snowboards. Sofía even wore her ice skates.
The children weren’t the only ones enjoying the snow. In the background they could see skiers going up the mountain with the ski lift, and coming down at high speed. There was even a skiing polar bear. Only the snowman shivered in the cold and wished for summer. He had a cold and a long icicle hung from his nose.
What? A snowman with a cold and a skiing polar bear? Annoyed, Juan realised. He was still lying in bed and everything had been a dream. Disappointed, he looked out of the window that faced the street. But wait a minute … it was all white!
“It’s snowed!” shouted Juan excitedly and quickly woke his friends.
