A bed for Bolo
I love my four-legged friends! At home I have Ramona, a nervous cat; Cornelio, a tiny dog, and Bolo, a furry giant. They are always getting up to all kinds of mischief, but sometimes they really make me lose patience.
The other day, Bolo was chasing Ramona through the house. The poor cat managed to escape by jumping on top of the wardrobe, but she almost threw the hanger with my nightgown to the floor. Bolo, disappointed that the chase was over, settled down on the bed with the duvet and pillow. Taking advantage of all this chaos, Cornelio started to nibble my slippers; I think he was trying to get some attention.
Luckily, I am much smarter than the three of them, and I hatched a fool-proof plan to get them out of my room: the alarm clock! Every time the alarm goes off, they disappear in the blink of an eye, then all I have to do is close the door and the curtains. As soon as they left, I got into bed quickly and grabbed a book from the bedside table. Finally – some peace and quiet!
